Hot off the EASEL

Martin Luther King Jr. was the first black man I have ever painted and I felt honored doing so. I tried to imagine the courage he must have had to pursue his goals and used it as I placed each stroke onto the canvas.

Every time I think about who I would like to paint or what I would like to paint I think about the process before, during, and after completing the piece...

It's not the painting it's the process that motivates me.
